Our Story

Built on craftsmanship, hospitality, and community.

Welcome To Lavish

Lavish began with a simple idea: handcrafted gelato made with care.

As we dreamed, we realized we weren't simply creating a place to enjoy coffee, gelato, or a meal. We were creating a place where people could gather, connect, celebrate, and simply enjoy being together.

Our faith has shaped the way we see hospitality. We believe every person who walks through our doors is created with purpose, worthy of kindness, and deserving of genuine care. That belief influences everything we do—from the way we prepare our food to the way we welcome every guest.

We believe some of life's best moments happen around a table. A morning coffee shared with a friend. Lunch with family. A quiet afternoon to yourself. An after-school gelato tradition. The little moments often become the ones we remember most.

More than anything, we hope Lavish is a place where you feel seen, welcomed, and cared for—a place where you can slow down, stay awhile, and leave feeling a little more refreshed than when you arrived.

Slow down. Stay awhile.

Growing The Dream

Our journey began in the small town of Potlatch, Idaho, where we had the privilege of serving an incredible community that welcomed us from the very beginning.

Lavish started as a small artisan gelateria with a simple goal: to make authentic, handcrafted gelato and create a place people would enjoy visiting.

As we got to know our guests, we began to see something beautiful happening. People weren't just stopping in for gelato—they were staying to visit, catching up with friends, bringing their families, and making Lavish part of their routines.

It became clear that what people were looking for wasn't just dessert. They were looking for a place to gather.

That realization inspired us to grow.

Today, alongside our handcrafted gelato, you'll find house-baked focaccia, fresh pastries, handcrafted espresso, thoughtfully selected teas, and seasonal offerings—all prepared with the same commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and hospitality that inspired us from the beginning.

While our menu has grown, our purpose hasn't. We still hope every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and leaves looking forward to their next visit.

The Lavish Difference

We believe the little things matter.

Not because they have to be perfect, but because they're one of the ways we can show care for the people who walk through our doors.

Every recipe is tested and refined with intention. Our focaccia is baked in-house. Our gelato is crafted from scratch in small batches. Every espresso drink is made to order, and many are served in handmade pottery mugs because we believe the experience is just as important as what's inside.

Those choices take a little more time, but we think they're worth it.

To us, hospitality isn't found in one big gesture. It's found in the small things—a genuine welcome, a thoughtfully prepared meal, a favorite drink remembered, or taking just a little extra time to make someone feel at home.

We hope those small moments come together to create something bigger: a place where you feel cared for, where conversations linger, and where you're already looking forward to your next visit.

A Blessing For Every Guest

Every person who walks through our doors is a gift, and we don't take that lightly.

Whether you're joining us for the first time or you've been with us since our Potlatch days, thank you for allowing us to be part of your conversations, celebrations, quiet moments, and everyday routines. It is truly a privilege to serve you.

We hope you'll always feel welcome when you arrive, cared for while you're here, and leave feeling just a little more refreshed than when you came.

From our family to yours, thank you for walking this journey with us. Whether you're stopping in for your first visit or your hundredth, we're grateful you're here, and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

With gratitude,

Jesse & Ashley Haynes
